Image Guided Injections
Curian Medical are delighted to announce that we have added a further 45 clinic locations to our network performing Image Guided Injections.
Image guided injections are a radiological procedure where an ultrasound machine is used to guide a needle through the skin into the affected area so a small amount of medication (steroid or local anaesthetic) can be injected, in order to reduce the pain that the patient may have been suffering.
Some commonly performed sites for guided injections include the following;
* shoulder (subacromial bursa)
* hip
* wrist and hand joints and tendons
* knee (pes anserine bursa)
* ankle and foot joints and tendons
In addition we are also able to offer a number of other injection services such as steroid [non-image guided], facet joint, nerve block and trigger point.
