In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, Curian Medical aims to provide a positive impact within our local community. As an organisation in 2018, we chose to develop a relationship with one of our local primary schools – St Giles C of E Primary School in Willenhall, West Midlands. St Giles is a special place where the staff are dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and safe, ideas can flourish, and pupils can realise their full potential.
In place of purchasing and sending Christmas Cards in December 2018, we instead donated a sum of money to the school. We were delighted to hear that our contribution paid in part for a production company to visit the school to perform a pantomime, for which the children were extremely grateful.
To finish off the academic year of 18/19 Curian Medical supported St Giles C of E Year 6 pupils on their trip to the National History Museum in London in July 2019. Curian Medical funded the return coach trip to London for the school as well as a member of our team joining the school on their trip.
Since our relationship with St Giles C of E began in 2018, Curian Medical has provided Golden Reading Hour to the Year 3 pupils at the school. Each Friday a member of our team heads over to St Giles C of E to support the children with their reading. These regular reading sessions are not only valued by the school and the children but also our employees within Curian too. The team benefit from the volunteering opportunity and really enjoy heading over to the school and assisting the children with their reading.
To celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary, in July 2021 we began a Sponsorship with West Bromwich Albion FC for the season 2021/2022, joining West Bromwich’s ‘Executive Club’. The Curian Medical logo will take pride of place on advertising around the ground, including the enormous pitch-side TV screens, advertising boards, and other match day literature. We hope this is the start of a long-lasting partnership.
Chief Executive Officer of Curian Medical, Ian Curbishley had this to say about the new sponsorship deal, “It’s great to have the ability to support West Bromwich Albion for the upcoming season. They are a local club and have strong links to the surrounding area, giving a great deal back to the local community. WBA’s ethos is a truly great fit for us and it’s exciting to get this partnership going.”
Curian Medical’s Managing Director Robert Haynes added, “We’re very excited to partner West Bromwich Albion FC as part of their Executive Club. An opportunity like this doesn’t always present itself, this will enable us to engage and support many people who are connected to this much-loved football club. We are looking forward to the start of the new season as club partners.” We were lucky enough to be invited to the Baggies first home game of the season against Luton FC on 14th August 2021, in which WBA won 3-2. A fantastic start to the season.
